So, 2018 is off to a good start and it's already getting better. If you've been following me for awhile, you know I have a craving (or a major obsession) with donuts. I like to search near and far to find some good locally made donuts. Now there is another great local place for me to Devour! The Mini Bar Donut + Coffee has opened up in Jacksonville Beach and you all should be excited.
I'm happy to see The Mini Bar opening in Jacksonville Beach. Especially when it's owned by great people like, Brooke & Chase. This wife & husband duo have been working hard on every single detail. So far it seems to have paid off. From talking to them months before opening to now seeing the grand opening. They've worked so hard and it's beautiful to see there passion come to fruition.
I feel the location is perfect and the decor is great for taking pictures. I've already noticed that the "Treat Yourself" sign and the orange Volkswagen Van decorated with the Mini Bar logo, have been ideal backdrops for many photos. The shop has a lot of space inside and out. When it gets warmer, the courtyard while be a great place to sit and enjoy the weather.
There are currently 16 donut flavors to choose from and they are so good. My favorites so far have been Sea Salt Caramel Popcorn, Pop Tart & Cinnamon Sugar. If the current flavors don't do it for you. You have the option to B.Y.O.D (Build Your Own Donut). The donuts don't just look good. They taste good and they're the perfect size for the little's and the bigs! Kids can easily eat a couple of these by themselves. I know mine did! A great fact: Mini Bar donuts are made to order, so you won't have to worry about getting stale donuts. These donuts are fresh all-around, from donuts to toppings.
The Mini Bar isn't just a donut shop but also has coffee from local company, Bold Bean Coffee Roasters. They also will be having local beer on tap.
I am incredibly happy they are here. For only been opened almost a week, Mini Bar has already had a big impact. Even before they were open, their donuts were seen around town at places like Bold Bean, Southern Swells Brewery and at Jacksonville Jaguar games. So you can say the hype was definitely there. And so far they have done very well to keep up with it.
