     One of the most anticipated restaurants in Jacksonville is finally about to open it's doors. The desire and taste of The Cowford Chophouse has been on people's minds and tongues since the project was announced. But now ladies & gentlemen, the wait is over. Let me tell you, she is as big and beautiful as you would expect it to be. Cowford will definitely be a shining light and help move Downtown Jacksonville into the right direction. A direction that is needed into revitalizing the area. 

     Cowford Chophouse is three levels of Jacksonville History that dates back to 1902. The first floor is a more casual setting with the second floor being a more intimate setting. One of my favorite features is the framed photographs that line the stairway. They show the original building and the various phases of transformation. The rooftop bar/dining area offers beautiful views of the Jacksonville skyline. I can just picture dining the night away and watching the sunset. Absolutely amazing!!

     The kitchen at Cowford Chophouse is led by Executive Chef Ian Lynch and Executive Pastry Chef Michael Bump. The menu has coastal and Southern influence. Looking on the menu, you will see different steak cuts like Filet Mignon, Ribeye, New York Strip, Tomahawk, and Porterhouse. There are other cuts like, Bone-In Pork Chop, Colorado Lamb Double-Cut Chops, Maine Lobster Tail, and Salmon.

     If you have dined at other Forking Amazing restaurants, then you definitely have tasted Michael Bump's unbelievable desserts. His desserts are some of the best in the city and of course that's not going to change at Cowford.

    The bar program at Chophouse will have a selection of wine, beer, and handcrafted cocktails. You will have your chance to chose from 331 bottles of wine, with 26 of them being served by the glass.

     Chophouse has their opening date planned for October 26th. Reservations may be made by calling 904-862-6464 or through Opentable. Complimentary valet parking will be offered during daily dinner service at the Ocean Street entrance. Street Parking is available along Bay, Ocean, Forsyth, and Newman.
